Block 1 Making Salts

Step 4: How can we make salts?

A is a metal compound made from reacting acids with different forms of metals.

We can make salts from:

  • Metals
  • Metal oxides
  • Metal hydroxides
  • Metal carbonates

When we create these salts, we need to follow strict procedures and ensure we are completing tasks skilfully. These processes include skills such as: using a Bunsen burner, filtering, evaporation and using a water bath.

During this step you will learn the different products of the reactions of various metal compounds with acids.
